Arsenic
Arsenic is a naturally occurring element found in the environment, often in soil and water. It is most known as a toxic substance that can have harmful effects on human health, especially with long-term exposure. Inorganic arsenic, commonly found in contaminated water and certain foods, is particularly dangerous and can lead to serious conditions, including cancer. Historically, arsenic has also been used in pesticides, herbicides, and even in some medicines. Due to its toxicity, many countries have established regulations to limit arsenic levels in drinking water and food.
