Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT)
The Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) is a standardized assessment designed to evaluate soldiers' physical readiness for combat. It includes six events: a strength deadlift, standing power throw, hand-release push-ups, sprint-drag-carry, leg tuck or plank, and a timed two-mile run. These tasks measure various fitness components such as strength, endurance, power, and agility, ensuring soldiers are physically prepared for the demands of combat situations. The ACFT aims to promote overall physical health, reduce injury risk, and maintain combat effectiveness across the Army.
