Armour Institute of Technology

The Armour Institute of Technology was an institution established in 1890 in Chicago, focused on engineering, technology, and applied sciences. It aimed to prepare students for careers in industry and manufacturing through practical education and innovative programs. In 1940, it merged with the University of Chicago, and later, in 1946, became part of the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT). Today, IIT continues its legacy by offering technical and professional degrees, emphasizing research, innovation, and real-world skills to meet industry needs.
