Armee der Norddeutschen Bund
The Armee der Norddeutschen Bund was the military force of the North German Confederation, a political alliance of northern German states established in 1867. It was created to coordinate defense and military efforts among member states, replacing individual armies. The army was under a centralized command and played a key role during the Franco-Prussian War (1870-1871), which led to the unification of Germany and the founding of the German Empire. Essentially, it was a unified northern German army that helped strengthen regional cooperation and national unity during a critical period of German history.
