Arm Fractures

Arm fractures are breaks in one or more of the bones in the arm, typically caused by trauma such as falls, accidents, or sports injuries. Common types include fractures of the humerus (upper arm), radius, and ulna (forearm bones). Symptoms often include sudden pain, swelling, bruising, and difficulty moving the arm. Diagnosis usually requires an X-ray, and treatment may involve immobilization with a cast or, in severe cases, surgery. Recovery times vary but often involve physical therapy to restore strength and movement after the bones heal. With proper care, most people return to normal activities.
