Arithmetic series

An arithmetic series is a sequence of numbers where each term increases or decreases by the same fixed amount, called the common difference. For example, 3, 7, 11, 15 is an arithmetic sequence with a common difference of 4. The series refers to the sum of these terms, such as adding up all numbers in the sequence. To find the total sum efficiently, a formula is used: multiply the average of the first and last terms by the number of terms. Arithmetic series are useful in various fields, including finance, engineering, and science for modeling and calculations involving evenly spaced quantities.
