Aridisols
Aridisols are a type of soil found in dry, arid regions, typically characterized by low moisture levels. These soils often have a distinct layer of accumulated salts due to evaporation and limited rainfall. They can support unique plant life adapted to harsh conditions, such as cacti and other drought-resistant species. While they are not highly fertile, certain forms of Aridisols can be used for agriculture with careful management, often relying on irrigation. Commonly found in deserts and semi-arid areas, Aridisols cover significant areas in places like the southwestern United States and parts of Africa and the Middle East.
