ARIA States

ARIA States, part of the Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) specification, enhance web accessibility for people with disabilities. They provide additional information about dynamic content updates, user interface changes, and the state of elements (like buttons or menus), helping assistive technologies like screen readers convey the right context. For example, if a button changes from "Start" to "Stop," an ARIA state can alert users that this change has occurred, ensuring that all users, regardless of their abilities, have equal access to the content and functionality of web applications.
