Arcsecond
An arcsecond is a unit of angular measurement used in astronomy and other fields. It is equal to one-sixtieth of an arcminute, and there are 3600 arcseconds in one degree. To visualize it, imagine a circle divided into 360 degrees. Each degree can be further divided into 60 parts (arcminutes), and each arcminute into 60 smaller parts (arcseconds). This precise measurement helps astronomers describe the positions and sizes of stars, planets, and other celestial objects in the sky, allowing for detailed observations and calculations in space.
