Arbitration and Mediation
Arbitration and mediation are both forms of alternative dispute resolution used to settle conflicts without going to court. In arbitration, a neutral third party (the arbitrator) listens to both sides and makes a binding decision, similar to a judge. In mediation, a neutral mediator helps the parties communicate and negotiate a mutually acceptable agreement, but does not make binding decisions. Both methods are typically faster and less formal than traditional litigation, allowing parties to maintain control over the outcome while also preserving confidentiality.
