Ararat (Biblical mountain)

Mount Ararat is a tall, dormant volcano located in eastern Turkey, near the border with Armenia. It holds biblical significance as the traditional resting place of Noah’s Ark, which, according to the Bible, landed there after the Great Flood. The mountain reaches about 5,137 meters (16,854 feet) in height, making it the highest peak in Turkey. Its prominence in religious and cultural history has sparked numerous searches and legends. Though no conclusive archaeological evidence of Noah’s Ark has been found there, Mount Ararat remains a powerful symbol of divine promise and human history across multiple faiths.
