
Aram I (Catholicos)
Aram I is the current Catholicos of the Armenian Apostolic Church, a prominent religious leader within one of the oldest Christian denominations. Born on September 8, 1935, in Lebanon, he became Catholicos in 1995 and resides in Antelias, Lebanon. His role includes spiritual leadership, promoting Armenian culture, and representing the church globally. He is involved in interfaith dialogue, social justice issues, and the diaspora's concerns. Aram I advocates for the rights of Armenians, particularly in relation to historical recognition of the Armenian Genocide, and works to strengthen the Armenian community worldwide.
