Arabian Leopard
The Arabian leopard is a subspecies of leopard found primarily on the Arabian Peninsula, particularly in Oman, Yemen, and parts of the Saudi Arabian mountains. It is a critically endangered species, with estimates of only a few hundred individuals remaining in the wild. This small, agile cat has a unique coat with smaller rosettes and is adapted to rocky, mountainous terrains. They are solitary animals, primarily hunting small to medium-sized prey. Conservation efforts are crucial for their survival, as habitat loss and hunting pressures threaten their existence. The Arabian leopard is a symbol of the region's rich biodiversity.
