Aquinas's Five Wounds

Aquinas's Five Wounds refer to the challenges to human understanding and reason in the pursuit of truth. They are: ignorance, malice, weakness, habit, and passion. Ignorance represents a lack of knowledge, malice refers to the intentional choice of evil, weakness indicates susceptibility to temptation, habit represents entrenched behaviors that hinder growth, and passion encompasses overwhelming emotions that can cloud judgment.
