Apologia Theory
The Apologia Theory explains how individuals justify or defend their beliefs, actions, or ideas when they are challenged or criticized. It suggests that when people face scrutiny, they construct explanations—called "apologias"—to defend their position, maintain their reputation, or restore their credibility. This process helps them manage conflict and preserve their sense of integrity. In essence, apologia is a form of self-defense communication aimed at reducing disagreement or doubt about their actions or beliefs.
