Apis Bull Cult

The Apis Bull Cult was an ancient Egyptian religious practice centered around the worship of a sacred bull known as Apis. This bull, believed to be a living manifestation of the god Ptah, symbolized fertility, strength, and the afterlife. The Apis bull was raised in the temple, adorned with special markings, and treated like royalty. Once it died, the bull was mummified and buried with great ceremony.
