Aperture was a photo management and editing software developed by Apple. Designed for professional photographers, it provided tools for organizing, editing, and sharing photos in a streamlined manner. Users could import photos, adjust exposure and color, apply filters, and categorize images using metadata. Aperture's interface allowed for efficient workflow management, making it easier to handle large collections of images. Though it was praised for its features, Apple discontinued Aperture in 2014, encouraging users to transition to other software, like Adobe Lightroom or Apple Photos, for continuing their photography work.
