Anxiety Theory

Anxiety Theory suggests that anxiety arises when our brain perceives a threat or danger, activating a stress response to prepare us to face or escape the situation. This response is influenced by our thoughts, past experiences, and biological factors. When this perceived threat is misinterpreted or exaggerated, it can lead to excessive worry or fear, even when there is no real danger. Essentially, anxiety is our mind’s way of reacting to perceived threats, which, in some cases, can become disproportionate or persistent, impacting daily functioning.
