Antitoxins

Antitoxins are specialized proteins used by the immune system to neutralize toxins produced by certain bacteria. When a person is exposed to a dangerous toxin, antitoxins can bind to it, preventing it from causing harm. They are often produced naturally by the body in response to infection or can be administered as part of medical treatment, such as in antitoxin medications. Essentially, antitoxins act like a safety cap on a toxic substance, stopping it from damaging cells and tissues, thereby helping the body recover from certain bacterial illnesses.
