Antisuyu
Antisuyu was one of the four main regions of the ancient Inca Empire, located in the eastern highlands of the Andes in present-day Peru. Its name means "the northern part" in Quechua, the Inca language. Antisuyu covered rugged mountainous terrain and lush cloud forests, rich in biodiversity. It was a vital area for agriculture, especially crops like maize and potatoes, and contributed to the empire’s wealth and food supply. Known for its natural beauty and strategic importance, Antisuyu played a key role in the overall administration and expansion of the Inca Empire.
