Antidumping Agreement
The Antidumping Agreement is a trade regulation under the World Trade Organization (WTO) designed to prevent unfair competition in international trade. It addresses situations where a country exports goods at prices lower than their normal value, often to gain market share. This practice, called "dumping," can harm domestic industries in the importing country. The agreement allows countries to impose tariffs or take other measures to protect their industries if they can prove dumping is occurring and causing injury. Essentially, it aims to maintain fair competition in global markets by ensuring exporters don't sell products unfairly cheap.
