The Anti-Party Group was a faction within the Soviet Communist Party in 1957 that opposed Nikita Khrushchev’s leadership. Comprised of party officials unhappy with his policies and direction, they sought to remove Khrushchev from power. The group organized a brief power struggle, attempting to oust him, but their efforts failed. Ultimately, Khrushchev maintained control, and the Anti-Party Group was disbanded.
