Anti-Imperialist Movements
Anti-imperialist movements are efforts by countries or groups to oppose foreign domination, colonization, or control over their territory and resources. These movements seek to promote independence, sovereignty, and self-determination, often as a response to imperial powers that expand their influence through political, economic, or military means. Historically, they have been driven by a desire to preserve cultural identity, reduce exploitation, and establish governance free from external interference. Such movements gained prominence during the 20th century, especially as colonies fought for independence from European, American, and other imperial powers.
