Anterior instability

Anterior instability refers to the shoulder's tendency to slip or move out of its normal front position, often due to injury or ligament weakness. The shoulder joint is highly flexible, but this makes it susceptible to dislocation or feeling unstable, especially during certain movements or sports. When unstable, it can cause recurring episodes of the shoulder popping out or feeling loose, leading to pain and potential damage to surrounding tissues. Treatment varies from physical therapy to strengthen the muscles supporting the shoulder, to surgical procedures for more severe cases. The goal is to restore stability and prevent future dislocations.
