Ant social structure
Ants have a highly organized social structure, often described as a colony. Each colony typically consists of a queen, workers, and sometimes drones. The queen's primary role is to reproduce and ensure the colony's survival. Workers, which are mostly female, handle various tasks such as foraging for food, caring for the queen's larvae, and defending the nest. Drones are males whose sole purpose is to mate with the queen. Ant colonies can range from a few dozen to millions of individuals, and their cooperation and division of labor enable them to thrive in diverse environments.
