ANPI (National Liberation Alliance)
The National Liberation Alliance (NLA), founded in 1928, was a Black nationalist organization in the United States aimed at promoting racial pride, self-determination, and socio-economic empowerment for African Americans. It sought to unite Black communities through teachings of African heritage, self-reliance, and political activism, advocating for the advancement of Black interests and independence from white control. While influential in some circles, it was also controversial, with differing views on its methods and goals. Overall, the NLA aimed to foster a sense of identity and strength within the African American community during a period of significant racial discrimination.
