Aniridia

Aniridia is a rare condition where the colored part of the eye, called the iris, is either partly or completely missing. This affects how well the eye controls the amount of light entering, often leading to glare and vision difficulties. It is usually present from birth and may be associated with other eye problems, such as cataracts or glaucoma. Aniridia can also be linked to certain genetic disorders and may require ongoing eye care and monitoring to manage potential complications and protect vision.
