Aneurysm Repair
Aneurysm repair is a surgical procedure to treat an aneurysm, which is an abnormal bulge in a blood vessel caused by weakness in the vessel wall. If left untreated, an aneurysm can rupture, leading to serious health risks. In vascular surgery, doctors can repair an aneurysm by either using a technique called endovascular repair, which involves inserting a stent through a small incision, or by performing open surgery to directly remove the aneurysm and replace it with a graft. Both methods aim to restore normal blood flow and prevent complications.
