Ancient Celts

The Ancient Celts were a group of tribes that lived in Europe from around 800 BCE to 100 CE. They spoke Celtic languages and shared similar cultural practices. The Celts are known for their skilled metalwork, intricate artwork, and rich oral traditions. They inhabited regions that include modern-day Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and parts of France, Germany, and beyond. Socially, they were organized into clans or tribes, often led by chieftains. The Celts had a polytheistic belief system, worshipping various deities and nature. Their influence can still be seen in modern cultures across Europe.
