ANB angle
The ANB angle is a measurement used by orthodontists to assess the positional relationship between the upper jaw (maxilla) and the lower jaw (mandible) in relation to the skull. It’s measured on a lateral (side) view from a specific point on the upper jaw (A point) to a point on the lower jaw (B point), with the Nasion point (bridge of the nose) as a reference. This angle helps determine if the jaws are aligned properly or if there is a bite discrepancy, such as a Class I (normal), Class II (overbite), or Class III (underbite) relationship.
