Anant Pai, often referred to as "India's Uncle Pai," was a prominent Indian cartoonist and author, best known for creating the popular comic book series "Amar Chitra Katha." Launched in 1967, the series aimed to make Indian mythology, history, and culture accessible and engaging for children. Pai's work played a significant role in popularizing Indian stories, making them relatable and educational. In addition to Amar Chitra Katha, he also founded the publishing company Raj Comics. His contributions have had a lasting impact on Indian children's literature and comic storytelling.
