ANA test

An ANA (Antinuclear Antibody) test detects antibodies in the blood that target the nuclei of your own cells. These antibodies are often present in autoimmune diseases, where the immune system mistakenly attacks the body's tissues. A positive ANA test can suggest an autoimmune condition such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis, but it doesn't confirm a diagnosis on its own, as some healthy people may also have a positive result. Doctors use this test along with other clinical information and tests to help diagnose and monitor autoimmune disorders.
