Amplitude Modulated Signal
An amplitude modulated (AM) signal is a way to transmit information, such as radio audio, over long distances using radio waves. It works by varying the strength (amplitude) of a high-frequency carrier wave in proportion to the sound or data signal you want to send. When you listen to an AM radio, the radio receiver detects these changes in amplitude and converts them back into the original sound or data. Essentially, the information is encoded onto the carrier wave by adjusting its amplitude, allowing effective wireless communication.
