Amoraim

Amoraim were Jewish scholars and teachers who lived during the Talmudic period, approximately from 200 to 500 CE. Their primary role was to analyze, interpret, and discuss the teachings of the earlier rabbinic sages called Tannaim. The Amoraim's discussions, debates, and insights were recorded in the Talmud, a central text of Jewish law and tradition. They effectively shaped the development of Jewish legal principles and religious practice. In essence, Amoraim served as the interpreters and commentators who clarified and expanded upon the foundational teachings of Judaism for their communities and future generations.
