
Ameer Ali, Sir Syed
Sir Syed Ahmed Khan (1817-1898) was an influential Indian Muslim scholar, reformer, and educator during the British colonial period. He advocated for modern education among Muslims and founded the Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental College in Aligarh, which later became Aligarh Muslim University.
