Amduat
The Amduat is an ancient Egyptian religious text that describes the journey of the sun god Ra through the underworld during the night. It portrays this journey as a series of twelve stages or hours, each with symbolic imagery and deities, symbolizing rebirth and the cyclical nature of life and death. The text was inscribed on the walls of tombs to guide and protect the deceased in their own journey after death, emphasizing the connection between the living, the dead, and the divine cycle of the sun.
