Amati violins
Amati violins are some of the earliest and most prestigious string instruments, created by the Amati family in Cremona, Italy, during the 16th and 17th centuries. Andrea Amati, the family’s patriarch, is credited with establishing the modern violin shape. His instruments are known for their exquisite craftsmanship, rich tone, and elegant design. The Amati violins significantly influenced later makers, including Stradivari and Guarneri. Today, they are highly sought after by musicians and collectors, often fetching millions at auction due to their historical significance, beauty, and exceptional sound quality.
