Amasis II was a powerful Egyptian pharaoh who reigned from around 570 to 526 BCE during the 26th Dynasty. He initially served as a high-ranking official in Memphis and later became king after overthrowing the previous ruler. Amasis is known for strengthening Egypt’s economy, supporting art and architecture, and maintaining stability during his reign.
