Amadeo Bordiga

Amadeo Bordiga (1889-1970) was an Italian communist revolutionary and theorist, known for his critiques of mainstream Marxism and his role in the Italian Communist Party's early years. He advocated for a more radical, anti-bureaucratic interpretation of Marxism, emphasizing the need for a revolutionary party to enforce the dictatorship of the proletariat. Bordiga opposed the compromises of other leftist factions and believed in the primacy of class struggle. He later became estranged from the party and founded the "Left Communism" faction, promoting international revolution and workers' self-management, influencing various leftist movements throughout the 20th century.
