ALS Canada

ALS Canada is a national organization dedicated to supporting individuals affected by Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. It provides resources, advocacy, research funding, and community programs to improve quality of life for patients and their families. ALS is a progressive neurological disorder that damages nerve cells controlling voluntary muscles, leading to muscle weakness, loss of mobility, and eventually respiratory failure. The organization also raises awareness and funds to advance understanding and treatment of the disease, fostering hope and support within the ALS community across Canada.
