
Ali (Caliph)
Ali ibn Abi Talib was a prominent figure in Islamic history, serving as the fourth caliph from 656 to 661 CE. He was the cousin and son-in-law of the Prophet Muhammad, and is revered in Sunni and Shia Islam for his leadership and justice. Ali is known for his bravery and eloquence, and he played a crucial role in the early struggles of the Muslim community. His caliphate faced internal conflicts, leading to the first Fitna, or civil war, in Islam. Ali is also regarded as the first Imam by Shia Muslims, who view him as a central religious authority.
