Alash Orda

Alash Orda was a political movement and government formed by Kazakh nationalists in 1917, during the tumultuous period after the Russian Revolution. It aimed to preserve Kazakh cultural identity and seek greater autonomy or independence from Russia. Based in what is now Kazakhstan, Alash Orda attempted to establish self-governance while navigating complex political changes, including conflicts with Bolsheviks and local authorities. Although it lasted for a few years, its efforts laid the foundation for future Kazakh nationalism and independence movements.
