Al-Adha story
Al-Adha, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son Ismail (Ishmael) as an act of obedience to God. God tested Ibrahim’s faith but ultimately provided a ram as a substitute at the last moment. Muslims celebrate this event by performing the Qurbani, or animal sacrifice, to honor Ibrahim’s devotion. The act emphasizes faith, obedience, and charity, encouraging believers to help those in need and reflect on the importance of surrendering to God's will. It’s a time of prayer, sacrifice, and community sharing.
