Air Force System Command

Air Force System Command (AFSC) was a major branch of the U.S. Air Force responsible for developing, acquiring, and maintaining aircraft, missile, and space systems. It managed the design, production, and logistical support of technology crucial for national defense. Essentially, AFSC ensured that the Air Force's equipment was reliable, advanced, and ready for operational use. It operated from 1951 until 1992, when it was realigned into other commands as technology and organizational structures evolved.
