
Ahmose I
Ahmose I was an ancient Egyptian pharaoh who reigned around 1550–1525 BCE. He is best known for driving out the invading Hyksos, a group that had taken control of parts of Egypt. His victory marked the beginning of the New Kingdom period, a time of prosperity and cultural flourishing in ancient Egypt. Ahmose I also initiated building projects, including temples, and helped unify Egypt, solidifying its power. He is often credited with restoring traditional Egyptian values and customs after the foreign rule, setting the stage for a golden age in Egyptian history.
