African human rights
African human rights refer to the fundamental freedoms and protections that every individual in Africa is entitled to, as recognized by various international and regional treaties, such as the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights. These rights include the right to life, freedom from discrimination, the right to education, and the right to participate in government. While progress has been made, challenges like poverty, conflict, and governance issues often hinder the realization of these rights across the continent. Advocacy and legal frameworks aim to promote and protect human rights for all Africans.
