Active-matrix OLED (AMOLED)
Active-matrix OLED (AMOLED) is a display technology that uses organic compounds to produce light when an electric current is applied. Each pixel in an AMOLED screen has its own tiny transistor (active matrix) that controls its brightness and color, allowing for fast response times, vibrant colors, and deep blacks. Unlike traditional screens that use backlighting, AMOLED pixels emit their own light, making images sharper and conserving energy. This technology is commonly used in smartphones and high-end TVs for its superior image quality, thin profiles, and excellent viewing angles.
