
ACT Matrix (conceptual framework)
The ACT Matrix is a visual tool that helps individuals understand and manage their thoughts and feelings. It maps out what matters most—our values—and how we respond to our internal experiences, like emotions or thoughts. The matrix has four areas: one side shows behaviors aligned with values, the other side shows avoided or unhelpful experiences. By using this framework, people can become more aware of their patterns, make intentional choices, and live more in line with what truly matters to them, promoting psychological flexibility and well-being.
