Act Consequentialism

Act Consequentialism is a moral theory that evaluates the rightness or wrongness of an action based solely on its consequences. According to this view, an action is considered morally right if it produces the best overall results compared to other possible actions. This means that each individual act should be assessed independently, looking at the outcomes it generates for those affected. In essence, Act Consequentialism encourages us to focus on the impacts of our actions rather than on rules or intentions when making moral decisions.
