Abdul Quader Mollah

Abdul Quader Mollah was a Bangladeshi politician and a leader of the Jamaat-e-Islami party. During the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971, he was accused of committing war crimes, including mass killing and atrocities against civilians. His involvement was controversial and led to his conviction for crimes against humanity by a special war crimes tribunal established by Bangladesh. In 2013, he was sentenced to life imprisonment, but later was sentenced to death on appeal. Mollah was executed in 2013, which sparked significant national and international debate about justice, political tensions, and historical memory in Bangladesh.
